Day1:Phoenix

This....
is how I have felt.

So far the last 24 hours I have been hanging at my friend Crystal's in Gilbert.
I am so thankful to have a place to feel at home while I am away from home. She is one of those people who doesn't know how to STOP giving.

I am LOVING spending time with them, especially Caleb.

Here are a few snapshots from our lazy, adorable morning.

These are SOC (straight out of camera) since I think they are decent and I don't want to pull them into PS and pick myself apart right now.

 cuteness everywhere.

coffee on hand.

more books than I could read in 5 lifetimes.

(Seriously she does PR for tons of terrific authors and there are dozens of stacks of books in each room nearly as tall as I am.) Check her amazing company out at BookSparksPR. I cannot begin to tell you all the ways she has helped me personally and professionally. I will photographing her and the other BookSparks girls next week.

Stay tuned for more images of this little guy and his siblings as we will be doing a "mountain session" next week as well!!

2011 MHS Senior Kenzie Cobb

Kenzie will graduate this fall and intends on studying Animal Medicine. When her mom first contacted me to do her pictures, she mentioned that she might bring one of her "friends" with her. It wasn't until she showed up with Monte the boa constrictor that I realized exactly what she meant. But it was so much fun to do something so unique and special to her. I think it's actually one of my favorite shots of her!

She is a great kid with a genuine spirit.

She helps out her busy mom. Loves her siblings.

Good luck Kenzie!

Welcome to the world Mr "K"...

I am so blessed to be doing more referral business in the last few months...it's the highest compliment I can receive!

So this is yet another family of a client/friend that I have had the good fortune of photographing in the New Year!

Meet, Mr Kaiden.

Seriously...some babies are just squishy balls of skin, but this guy was totally ready for his SDP debut!

I traveled to the Cruse's to take these as the weather was sketchy and he was only 7 days new.

It was a great shoot and I will tell you this boy is ALL BOY and wanted us all to know it:)

There is nothing I love more than being behind a camera capturing life’s moments - wonderful, funny, messy, precious, indescribable, irreplaceable, memorable moments.
