BRENDEN. JEN.

Happy Valentine's Day....

These two are adorable! They were so much fun to photograph. So easy to work with. And most importantly, they TRULY enjoy each other's company as is evident in these images. I am so honored to be shooting their wedding in 2011 and we have another "mini-engagement" session to look forward to this summer. I am so excited to see what God has in store for them. They are amazing and blessed and so are those of us who are in their lives! Congrats Brenden and Jen....

Winter's grip...

For those of you living in the midwest and especially out in the northeast, these images may be totally worn out on you. But though it may seem light years away, spring is just around the corner and I wanted to capture a few of these before it all melted into creeks and lakes our children will splash around in, in just a few months. These are all taken on our family property and because of the extreme amount of glare, I took a ton to get a few. LCD screens are great, but add a bit of cold air and the warm air from my nostrils and you have a recipe for a completely fogged screen. I just had to go with my gut, some change in aperture, and overshoot like crazy! For the most party these are SOC, hope you enjoy!

The future site....

Here are the first pictures of the future site of our home. We are very excited and hoping to get started as sooon as Winter decides it's done (which by the looks of things, is gonna be awhile). More pics to come over the next few months. God has blessed us and we will be praising him through all the ups and downs of this process!

Ps 37:3-11

3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Delight yourself in the Lord
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:

6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.

9 For evil men will be cut off,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found.

11 But the meek will inherit the land
and enjoy great peace.

Moving...

There are many details, that I am choosing to leave out to protect the innocent.If you want the whole story, too bad, I am not telling you the long, dramatic details.

In short, we moved things quite quickly (beating February snow storm 1) with the help of some amazing people who WILL WORK FOR FOOD. We cannot thank you enough for your help and friendship and will remember this when it's your turn!

Here are some pictures of the swing set and playhouse being taken out. This was 2 Sunday's ago (pro-bowl weekend) and it was quite a pain to get it out. The playhouse had to be deconstructed (shingles and all) to even be lifted onto the trailer into 2 pieces.

Tim (the brains) -our resident driver, stacker, and international man of mystery- is amazing with the trailer. According to Travis (the brawn) , he carried on a complete conversation while backing with the trailer down my parents' 150 yard driveway.

Thanks everyone who helped us with this stressful, bittersweet, move. God has blessed us immensely and we cannot be anything but grateful to those who have prayed for us and have continued to pray for this next step with our family.
  • Do not forsake your friend and the friend of your father, and do not go to your brother's house when disaster strikes you— better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.

Yeah. We're good. Only took 4 1/2 hours...
But take a look at this again...

I knew Nolan had learned this somewhere. The difference is, Denton is up about 10 feet...Nolan, about 20.
