Blake+Liz=BLIZ

Yes, they have a hollywood name mash-up. As they should. They even have the feel of an old hollywood couple.

She's elegant. He's classic.

God blessed us with a beautiful mid-March day. It was sunny and a touch breezy.

The girls were beautiful in deep purple and the boys handsome in black and white.

Both sets of parents were doting. An uncle was crying. It was a great ceremony made special with an intimate tribute by the groom's father. All 4 siblings stood up in agreement at the union.

The reception was true to 'Hudson/Faulkner' style with much dancing, laughing and great food.

All-in-all, the day the bride had dreamt and planned for her whole life. And I am honored to have been asked to capture the day in images that I hope they cherish for a lifetime and more.

Here's to you Blake and Liz...God bless you!

I've been told...

Ridiculous.

That is how I should describe my COMPLETE and utter lack of discipline when it comes to blogging.

I will be honest. I have been busy. I could give you a list, but you don't care and if you DO, you probably already know what I have been up to the last 4 months since my last post. Yes, FOUR MONTHS. Ridiculous.

So I have something to ask you...and please if you know ANYTHING about me you know I adore honesty. So honestly...here goes.

I was asked, more like, TOLD I should change my blog to a broader audience. Sounds ironic and maybe even irresponsible considering that I admitted to months of not blogging. I think maybe a more non-specific blog might make it easier to keep up with. Maybe not. I don't know.

Not that my business isn't keeping me busy enough. But that's the point. I am told, people might like to read about other "motherly" type things besides my photog business. I have so many amazing friends who's input and "features" I'd like to do. Maybe on their business, advice, etc.

So...do you? Want to hear about other non-sensical things?

Liiiiiike,

1. My failed attempts daily to raise independent, kind, loving, giving, funny, athletic, intelligent, biblical scholars that will change the world?!!!!
2. Community service and outreach projects ?
3. Friendship (mostly silly and fun stories about my HYSTERICAL friends)?
4. Gardening (about which I know NOTHING, but I am self-teaching with help from friends who DO know what they're talking about)
5. Cooking (again self-taught, but I LOVE me some good recipes and freezer meal ideas)
6. Crafting (go to pinterest, I steal my ideas from there, so don't waste your time with mine)
7. and last but not least, Photography 101 (again I am 75% self taught, but at least I have some sort of God-given gift or no amount of class or practice would help)

Ok....

GO!

Blast away! please respond to this post with all comments!! thanks in advance:)

- My safety
It's out of my hands whether I go or not, unless I text and drive.
       God's on it.

- $$$$
I hate fundraising so I decided gave it up to God and instead of letters to ask for money I am doing some photography sessions that 100% raised goes to Mt. Gilead towards my goal. Next Saturday the 10th I will be doing a **special** Gold couch session...msg me to find out more.

- My kids
My hubby and 15 family members and endless friends are totally taking care of it.

-Flying.
I HATE TO FLY. I am not afraid of the flying, but the enclosed space you must stay during the flight. I am still working on this through prayer and petition to God to calm my spirit and anxiety. (God's taking care of it)

So expect to find my blog filled in late winter with pictures of the gorgeous faces God will have me capture during my adventure.

Until then...pray.

More details in time....

Thankful doesn't begin to describe how I feel...

I cannot believe how the last 4 years have flown by with my little "adventure" in photography.

I have always loved taking pictures. But that's not what drives me to continue.
I have always loved color and creativity, but that's not why I am still interested.
I love PEOPLE. I love families. babies. weddings. children. new love. OLD love. dogs.
I love the moments. And I am grateful to capture those moments for you, to capture who you are right now as a family.

Please know I take our time and your trust in me VERY seriously. That's why I still get nervous before EVERY shoot. Every time. I want you to love them.

So here's a super fast overview of some of the families I've had the honor of capturing moments for in the last month or 2.

Forgive me.

I am blessed and busy.

There is nothing I love more than being behind a camera capturing life’s moments - wonderful, funny, messy, precious, indescribable, irreplaceable, memorable moments.
