It was just about a year ago when Kari and Cecil found out they were pregnant with this little guy after a long road of trying. On September 30th, on their family blog, the announced to all those faithful who had been praying for a near miracle that they were PREGNANT!!
Kari endured quite a trying pregnancy and was very ill, but I am sure that she would tell you that it was all worth it...and you can see why.

Roberson's at Huber Orchard and Winery...
We enjoyed a beautiful, though very warm, evening at the Huber Orchard and Winery a few weekends ago for my cousin Travis and his new wife Tiffany's wedding. It is a gorgeous place, lined with apple trees and endless rows of grapes.
Joselyn and her whole family were in wedding party so she sent me a message about doing a mini-session while they were all dressed up. It worked out really well and her are the images to prove it!

Wingate.
Sara and I have been in school together since Kindergarten. Our mom's are great friends. We were in show choir together. We attend church together. We got pregnant around the same time (TMI maybe). We delivered Colson and Delaney less than two weeks apart. Our families were in the same small group. We serve on some ministry teams together. We spend afternoons, shopping, talking, eating and swimming together with our kids. We LOVE the Wingates'! They are there in an instant whenever we need help. They are what GOOD friends are suppose to be like. They are a blessing to us and we couldn't be happier to have them in our lives. Thanks for your friendship, optimistic outlook, enthusiasm, sense of humor and the countless other gifts that we have the honor of benefiting from.

Beier's.
I was so glad to have the opportunity to photograph these two little cuties!
Last summer I was able to capture Tait along with his cousin when they were in town for a visit. This time around we added sweet Macy and she is GORGEOUS! Both were so well behaved and we zipped through the session without so much as a whimper. Tait was taken with the farm equipment and Macy was content to do whatever we wanted her to. Mom and dad may have trouble picking which images to print after this one...but that's a great problem to have!
Thanks Lisa, Aunt Lori and Grandma Pam for helping us get in such a great session! Can't wait to do it again...

Luke.Tina.JD.Scrappy.
After a couple of attempts at getting this session in, we finally did it! The weather cooled down a bit, everyone including Scrappy was feeling up to it, and our schedule allowed for a session out of the Fisher "fun farm"!
It took a few minutes for little mr. J.d. to feel comfortable being himself around me, but after a few 2 year old "moments" we were able to get some great shots that even a worn out mom of a toddler could love!
Thanks Luke, Tina and JD for a great session/workout :)
*special thanks to the Fisher's for letting us use the property, and Eric and LuAnn Garrett the dog wranglers...

Randy.Robin.Desi.OnTheFarm.2010.
I was very much looking forward to shooting again out at the Davee's. They have acres and acres of gorgeous, rolling farm land. Shade trees, barns, cows, a tree swing, a pond, etc. Basically, a photographer's dream...
Not only is the property gorgeous, but the subjects are amazingly natural in front of the camera as you may recall from their shoot last fall. And I am NOT just saying it. Ask my husband. I talk about how I wish Randy's attitude would be more the norm with guys during family shoots.
I also got a special treat when Desi got out her bull, gave a quick "cleaning" with the shopvac and popped him in to pose with the family for some pictures. To be honest I was more interested in what they do for a living to concentrate on what I was there for. I hope to work with them (the cows) again very soon!
I look forward to many more shoots with this family. Thanks again for a wonderful evening...

Old friends and a new baby...
My mom's best friend from high school, Bonnie, pops in from time-to-time when she is up from Florida. This time around her daughter Courtney and her family came as well and I have been looking forward to snapping some shots of their adorable family. The newest addition to the family is little C.J.
Though they had a super, jam-packed day, the whole crew came out to the farm and we grabbed a few quick minutes to get some images of them...and SO glad we did.
Thanks Josh and Court, Ron and Bonnie, and Cory and Kelly...hope to see you all (at your place this time)...real soon.

Soon to be mr and mrs Hopwood...
Without getting to sentimental, this was one of my favorite sessions ever!
**special thanks to light coordinator Cris Mynatt
Kegahn and Shaena were engaged back in May after Kegahn spontaneously (though planned to the detail as only Kegahn does) jumped on a plane to Florida to surprise Shaena and propose while she was away with some friends. She said yes. And here we are.
40 days (give or take) from the big day...as I am told.
We were able to get to 2 sessions in the first being in and around Mooresville and the second at the Oliver Winery in Bloomington. We tried to sneak in some secured locations, but were denied. It's okay though. We got some GREAT shots!

There is nothing I love more than being behind a camera capturing life’s moments - wonderful, funny, messy, precious, indescribable, irreplaceable, memorable moments.
